ACCOUNTING & TAXES
Your major responsibilities in this area include guaranteeing 100% compliance with all relevant local legislation, such as statutory accounting standards, tax law, and civil law, as well as internal group guidelines. You will ensure correct accounting practices and timely submission of accurate financial information to all stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the year-end audit and driving efficiency by streamlining processes, both within Finance and beyond, and utilizing available tools. An important aspect of your role will be establishing effective tax management in cooperation with the shareholders HQ tax experts.
CASH MANAGEMENT & TREASURY
Your responsibilities in this area include ensuring compliance with all relevant Treasury guidelines and establishing and maintaining effective credit risk management practices. You will work to align payment terms with industry standards and optimize cash and currency management by minimizing working capital needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for aligning all financing decisions, including leasing, and bank selection choices with shareholder stakeholders.
Another important aspect of your role will be delivering reliable liquidity forecasts to both mother companies within the designated timeframe. You will conduct thorough return-on-investment calculations for all proposed investments, ensuring a positive return in line with the Investment guideline. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing all local insurance matters.
INTERNAL CONTROLS
Your responsibilities in this area include assuring the application of and compliance with all relevant financial internal control guidelines of the company. You will establish and continuously re-assess an effective Internal Control System to safeguard the company's assets and promote operational efficiency.
In addition to implementing internal controls, you will play a vital role in fostering a culture of candid business conduct. By leading by example, you will establish a climate of honesty, trust, and loyalty throughout the organization. Encouraging a confidential culture of reporting misbehavior will be an important aspect of your role, ensuring that any issues or concerns are addressed promptly and appropriately.
CONTROLLING
This domain includes ensuring full compliance with the controlling and reporting requirements set out by the shareholders. You will design the system setup in a manner that perfectly reflects the responsibilities within the organization, enabling accurate tracking and analysis of financial data.
A key focus of your role will be driving efficiency within Controlling. You will strive to minimize the time spent on report generation, allowing more time for in-depth analysis, commenting, and sharing valuable insights. In addition, you will establish a true bottom-up planning process and develop a local planning calendar, facilitating accurate and comprehensive financial planning.
Ensuring high forecasting accuracy of business plans, revised estimates, and long-term forecasts will be an important aspect of your responsibilities. You will actively support budget holders during the planning process, providing guidance and expertise to optimize financial decision-making. Furthermore, you will measure and review the cost/benefit ratio of proposed activities, enabling informed evaluations of potential investments and cost-saving initiatives.
BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP
As the Finance Manager, you will play a vital role in fostering strong business partnerships within the organization. Your major responsibilities in this area include building solid relationships with budget holders based on mutual respect and trust. You will establish effective communication channels that are grounded in facts and knowledge, facilitating the spread and exchange of information. In order to support informed decision-making, you will carry out return-on-investment calculations for new projects and business cases. By providing valuable financial insights, you will enable the evaluation of potential investments and facilitate sound decision-making processes. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in the preparation for important customer and vendor negotiations, ensuring that financial considerations are taken into account and contributing to the achievement of favorable outcomes.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
Another important part of your role is people management. Your role will involve managing the Financial & Legal Assistant, providing guidance, and overseeing their work within the department. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the relationship with the accounting Shared Service center, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

You will actively promote internal and external training opportunities to elevate knowledge levels and enhance the skills of your team members. Ensuring that key processes are well-documented and followed consistently is crucial for maintaining efficiency and accuracy. As the Finance Manager, you will place importance on documenting all key processes in writing and implementing the use of checklists. Your areas of knowledge and expertise
- University degree in Business Administration/Finance
- Minimum 5 – 7 years of relevant Finance experience in Accounting & Controlling
- Strong accounting (Local Accounting Standards & IFRS) and Taxation knowledge
- Highly analytical and very skilled individual
- Ability to quickly identify and analyze risks & impacts and able to define alternatives
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Capable of communicating precisely, effectively and convincingly based on facts with internal and external stakeholders
- IT literate, excellent MS Excel knowledge, familiarity with any ERP system and any integrated business analysis tool is a strong plus (SAP R/3/BI/Hyperion etc
